Program Overview

Oncology Rehabilitation Support Program

Cancer treatment is life-saving — but it comes with lasting physical consequences. Chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery leave effects that require specialist-level rehabilitation.

The Oncology Rehabilitation Support Program addresses these treatment-related side effects with specialized, evidence-based interventions — coordinated with your oncology care team to support recovery at every stage of treatment and survivorship.

Rehabilitation is coordinated alongside oncology care teams and survivorship pathways to support safe recovery during and after treatment.
Who This Program Helps
Breast cancer survivors with arm swelling or stiffness
Radiation fibrosis and skin tightness after treatment
Cancer-related fatigue and deconditioning
Post-surgical mobility loss and scar tightness
Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy

I developed secondary lymphedema after cancer and chemotherapy and struggled for months without improvement. My cardiologist referred me to Dr. Santiago, and her care made a real difference. She is professional, attentive, and truly supportive. I highly recommend her to anyone needing specialized lymphedema treatment.

I am myself a retired physician and I was referred to Dr. Nilma Elias Santiago by my son. This is the kind of physician that exists no more! She did the initial detailed evaluation and the subsequent physical therapies. She takes time to ask detailed questions and answers every question that you have. Devotes time for you as if you were the only patient! Never in a hurry! Also explains every movement or position that you are asked and the reason. Incredible!!! This type of physician is extinct!

I have been working with physiotherapist Dr. Nilma Santiago since May 2022. She has been a tremendous help with shoulder and knee therapies. She also works with my wife who suffers from lymphedema following cancer treatment. Her expertise also includes laser treatment, and excellent wound care which was completely effective. she is openly personable with a pleasant and welcoming manner. I highly recommend her J. Pennino
