You can cancel your appointment within 24 hrs without any additional charges. Otherwise, there is a fee of $50 for “no-show”, “no-cancellation”. In case of emergency, you can contact the office and the appointment may be canceled without incurring in the “no show” fee. If you are going to be late for your appointment, please call ahead to make any arrangements as needed.

- Your physician’s referral.
- Your Medicare insurance card.
- Comfortable clothes (such as activewear).
- Ostomy patients-your appliance system (pouch and skin barrier, moldable ring, etc.)
- Lymphedema patients-any compression bandages issued; any compression garment worn in the past
- Medication list
- Any labs or diagnostic testing results relevant to your ostomy, lymphedema and/or wound condition.
For rehabilitation PT services including, but not limited to manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and activities, etc., physical therapists are allowed to assess and treat you for 21 consecutive business days without a physician’s prescription according to Florida State Law. If treatment is required beyond those 21 days, a prescription is required. For wound care services, a medical doctor’s approval on the plan of care is needed within 30 days of the initial treatment, and some treatments may warrant a physician’s prescription.
Appointments can be available as soon as the next day, should there is an opening. If there’s a cancellation, you may receive a call to move your appointment if this can be arranged in your personal schedule.
The doctor in Physical Therapy will assess your vitals, gross strength and range of motion, sensation, coordination, balance, and functional mobility skills, such as gait and transfers. The wound, stoma or lymphedema affected limb(s) will also be assessed and a plan of care will be established with your goals.
