Insurance Coverage at IPC

How Out-of-Network Benefits Work

If IPC is not listed as an in-network provider for your plan, you may still have out-of-network benefits. This means your plan may reimburse part of the cost, and some expenses may count toward your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum. Our team can help explain your options before you schedule.

Medicare Coverage

Medicare Part B may cover medically necessary rehabilitation services, including swelling disorders, oncology-related recovery, wound care support, and post-surgical rehabilitation. A physician referral or order may be required depending on your situation.

Self-Pay & Flexible Payment Options

Self-pay care is available for patients whose insurance does not cover these services or who prefer not to use insurance. Contact the clinic for current self-pay rates.

Deductibles Explained

Many insurance plans include an annual deductible. Depending on your benefits, out-of-pocket expenses for specialty rehabilitation may count toward that amount. Our team can help verify your benefits before your first visit.

Insurance coverage varies by plan and individual circumstances. Contact IPC directly to verify your specific coverage before scheduling your evaluation.

Insurance Questions Patients Often Ask

IPC accepts Medicare and many major private insurance plans. Because coverage depends on your specific plan, diagnosis, and whether a referral has been obtained, the most accurate way to confirm is to contact our administrative team with your insurance card information. We verify your benefits before your first appointment.

Most insurance plans — including Medicare — require a physician referral or written order for specialty rehabilitation services. If you do not yet have one, your primary care physician or specialist can provide it. Our team can guide you on what documentation is needed before your evaluation.

Medicare Part B may cover specialty physical therapy at IPC when medically necessary diagnoses are documented — including lymphedema, chronic wounds, post-surgical rehabilitation, and oncology-related functional limitations. Coverage is subject to your annual deductible and 20% coinsurance after the deductible is met.

If your plan does not include IPC as an in-network provider, you may still have out-of-network benefits that cover a portion of the cost. Some plans reimburse patients directly for specialty care. Self-pay options are also available — contact the clinic to discuss rates before your evaluation.

The simplest first step is to use the Coverage Review form below or call our administrative team. Provide your insurance information and a brief description of your condition, and we will handle the verification process and walk you through next steps — including whether a referral is needed and how to obtain one.
