What to Expect During Your Appointment
During your appointment, you can expect a comprehensive assessment, consultation, and treatment planning. Our specialists will take the time to get to know you and your individual needs, so that we can provide personalized care and the best possible outcome. Appointments typically last between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the complexity of your condition. After your appointment, you may be asked to complete follow-up activities or post-consultation activities.
Cancellation Policy:
Can I cancel my appointment without incurring any charges?
Yes, you can cancel your appointment within 24 hours without any additional charges.
What happens if I don't cancel my appointment within 24 hours?
If you fail to cancel your appointment within 24 hours, a fee of $35 will be charged for “late cancelation” if you failed to show then you will be charged a “no-show” fee of $50.
Is there an exception for cancellations due to emergencies?
Yes, in case of emergencies, you can contact the office and your appointment may be canceled without incurring the “no-show” fee.

If you are running late for your appointment, please call ahead to make any necessary arrangements.

How soon can I schedule an appointment?
Appointments may be available as soon as the next day if there is an opening. If there’s a cancellation, you may receive a call to reschedule your appointment based on your personal schedule.

What should I bring to my appointment?
Please make sure to bring the following:
Your physician’s referral if you have one.
Your primary and secondary insurance card and some form of photo ID.
Comfortable clothes, such as activewear.
For ostomy patients: your appliance system (pouch and skin barrier, moldable ring, etc.).
For lymphedema patients: any compression bandages issued and any compression garment worn in the past.
A list of medications you are currently taking.
Any relevant labs or diagnostic testing results related to your ostomy, lymphedema, and/or wound condition.
First Evaluation Process:
What can I expect during the first evaluation?
During the first evaluation, the doctor in Physical Therapy will:
Assess your vitals, gross strength, range of motion, sensation, coordination, balance, and functional mobility skills.
Consolidate your medications if any
Assess your wound, stoma, or lymphedema-affected limb(s).
Establish a care plan tailored to your goals.
